Black gourd vase*50

This vase was made in a studio entirely owned and operated by women. The recipe for the material they used (in this case, a mixture of dolomite and clay) was developed in the studio specifically for each item they make. As long as the mold is released from the mold, each vase can be smoothed by hand, and the hand-applied glaze can be completed in a multi-step process. It also uses recycled materials including 2% to 4% from the studio-making full use of resources can also enhance the integrity and stability of the finished product.
